Here’s a decadent & zesty tartar sauce that’s rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor—perfect for pairing with Chatham Harvesters’ offerings like our new monkfish burger!





RECIPE:

Decadent and Zesty Tartar Sauce with a Twist

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup high-quality mayonnaise (or half mayo, half crème fraîche for extra richness)

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped cornichons (or dill pickles for a tangy crunch)

  • 1 tbsp capers, drained and minced

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped shallots

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (for brightness)

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (adds depth)

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (for umami)

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or tarragon for a unique herbal note)

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (a hint of warmth)

  • ½ tsp honey or maple syrup (for balance)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Optional Enhancements:

  • ½ tsp horseradish (for a little kick)

  • 1 tsp finely chopped anchovies (for deep savory notes)

  • 1 tbsp sour cream (extra creamy texture)

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth and well combined.

  2. Cover and let it chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.

  3. Serve with crispy fried seafood, lobster rolls, or as a spread on monkfish burger sandwiches!
