Skate Wings | Pulled-Pork-Style

A local twist using one of our most abundant locally-caught fish, skate! Inspired by southern-style barbaque, just swap out pulled pork for skate. A Cape Cod authentic dish that's healthy and exciting for you, your family, or for hosting a larger group. Easy to cook in bulk!




RECIPE:

Skate Wings | BBQ Style


Serves: 2 people


Ingredients:

  • 1/2-lb Skate

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

  • Slider burger buns

  • Pickles

  • Smoke-flavored spice to taste

  • Salt & pepper to taste


Directions:

  1. Wash and dry skate wing

  2. Smokey spice and salt to taste

  3. Grill at 550 degrees for 6 minutes each side (place on higher-level rack to avoid sticking to grill).

  4. Let cool and then "shred" skate meat into a slow cooker / crock pot.

  5. Add barbaque sauce and stir lightly.

  6. Cook on "low" for 1-2 hours.

  7. Place shredded skate onto a slider-bun. Add a pickle and extra BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
